Compassionate & Safe Motherhood Programs

The Maternity and Gynaecology Department at Seva Bharathi Charitable Hospital offers safe, compassionate care for expectant mothers. We believe that financial difficulty should never stand between a mother and safe childbirth. Our department provides prenatal checkups, delivery services (normal and Caesarean), and neonatal care entirely free or at highly subsidized, charitable packages.

We have a dedicated sterile labor room, postnatal recovery ward, and cots equipped for newborn screening. Our volunteering OB/GYN doctors and certified midwives provide comprehensive clinical monitoring and patient counseling for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery.

Maternity FAQs

Is maternity care free for pregnant patients?

All outpatient consultations and basic prenatal advice are 100% free of charge. For BPL cardholders, laboratory checks and delivery operations (both normal and C-Section) are also fully free under charitable trust funding. General category patients receive a highly subsidized package covering basic medicine costs only.

Can family members stay with the mother in the hospital?

Yes. We permit one designated female family caregiver to stay in our general recovery ward along with the mother to provide comfort and support during the post-delivery period.

What neonatal care is provided immediately after birth?

We provide immediate birth checkups (Apgar score tracking), standard newborn vaccines (BCG, Polio, Hepatitis B), pediatric assessment, and breastfeeding guidance. If the infant requires critical stabilization, we facilitate referral to nearby partner neonatal ICUs.
