Advanced Surgical Procedures & Subsidised Operations
Our General Surgery Department and modern Operating Theatre (OT) complex are fully equipped to perform a wide variety of elective and emergency operations. Understanding the high cost of surgical care, Seva Bharathi Charitable Hospital offers general surgery consultation, pre-surgical tests, and procedures under heavy concessions, with completely free surgeries for qualifying BPL patients.
Our facility houses a sterile major operating table, advanced laparoscopic equipment, anesthesia machines, and a post-operative recovery ward managed by vigilant nurses. Our senior surgeons volunteer their skills to perform safe, high-standard procedures, keeping post-operative infection rates near zero.

General Surgery FAQs
Are surgical operations performed completely free?
Yes, for BPL (Below Poverty Line) cardholders and White Ration cardholders, all surgical fees, surgeon charges, anesthesia, and bed charges are completely waived. General category patients receive a highly subsidized flat rate covering only basic consumables.
Do you have a backup power supply for the Operating Theatre?
Absolutely. The hospital has a commercial-grade auto-start diesel generator that restores full power within 3 seconds of a grid failure, ensuring safety for all patients undergoing surgical procedures.
How can I schedule an elective surgery (like a hernia or lipoma)?
First, schedule a consultation with our General Surgeon Dr. V. Ramesh during his OPD hours. Once diagnosed, the surgeon will prescribe pre-operative tests (blood, ECG) and schedule a date for your surgery based on theater slot availability.
